Manor Life

Other less fortunate nobles lived on manor's. Manors are large agricultural estates. The nobles on the manors are referred as lord's or vassal's. On the manor the workers were known as serfs. Serfs are basically slaves, but treated better. Serf's worked on manors, because they needed land. In order to work on a manor a serf had to pay a tithe. A tithe is a tenth of the serf's profit, in which a serf has to pay to the vassal.
